What a whirlwind Term 3 has been – we cannot believe it is already over! We started with a whole school Scapular Mass and how special it was to be all together once more. We celebrated Science Week with an interesting incursion led by Einstein Australia linking to the National Science Week theme Glass: More than meets the eye. The Book Fair and much-loved Book Week parade gave life to some of our favourite story characters including but not limited to Ravenpaw from Warriors, the Roly-Poly bird, Harry Potter and George from a Roald Dahl favourite. We were also fortunate to engage in an incursion presented by the RAC about avoiding risky behaviours, which provided some timely reminders about safety on the roads and footpaths! We also visited Boola Bardip and used microscopes to take a close look at some feathers and 3D imaging to explore skulls of different bird species. As part of the Technology & Design unit, students built Carnival Games and these were a key feature of the Learning Walks that were held in Week 8. Thank you to all the parents who came along and provided such positive feedback about the work their child has been doing this term.
