On Sunday 11 September at 1 pm, many of our Year 4s along with our parish PREP students will celebrate their First Holy Communion at St Paul’s Church. The children have been preparing for this very special time through their classroom program, catechist sessions with Father Mariusz, workshop with their parents and a Retreat Day. A visit to the synagogue yesterday was also a highlight and very interesting for all who came along.
We thank parents for their support of the children at this special time of preparation. Thank you too, to Mr Merry and Mrs Speake for their great work in preparing the children to receive this special sacrament, to Miss Callisto for much of the behind-the-scenes organisation and to Father Tim and Father Mariusz for sharing their deep knowledge of our faith, their wisdom, guidance and wonderful way of sharing this through the workshops.
We look forward to the photos of these happy and special times in our children’s faith journey. Please keep our children and families in your prayers as we draw closer to this beautiful celebration in our community.
