Thank you to all the Dads and Father Figures who joined us for our open classroom visit and picnic lunch last Friday. It was great to see so many dads visiting their children’s classrooms and sharing lunch together. We hope to continue these initiatives of the St Paul’s EPIC Dads group into the future.

Year 6 World Issue Projects

Last Thursday the Year 6 students ran a World Issues EXPO in the Barbier Hall for the children and teachers in Years 4-5. Teams had to prepare a presentation, which included a poster and interactive presentation. Groups had to impress the students, who had been given voting slips to place in the ballot box for the team they thought best outlined the issue and provided the best solution to the problem. The students used Google Slides presentations and iMovie videos to get their points across. These features allowed them to include video, audio, photos, drawings and text as part of their oral performance to convince their fellow students to vote for them. It was a great opportunity to involve the upper primary in this learning activity and hopefully the students went away with more knowledge about topics of importance to them. Congratulations went to the Homelessness team who were victorious in a very close contest. Well done Year Six students!

Congratulations to the Gold Faction for your outstanding cheering, listening in the bays and team spirit. You are deserving winners of the Spirit Award.
Thank you to all the staff and parents who came to the St Paul’s Swimming Carnival. Without your assistance the carnival would have not have run as smoothly as it did.

The students showcased the EPIC values of St Paul’s through digital audio-visual clips incorporating greenscreen technology. We congratulate them on their amazing performance which can be found on the Year 6 website.
